Palm Springs has a wide variety of attractions and things to do. Knotts Soak City Waterpark is a great place to cool off as the weather heats up. Go horseback ridding at Smoketree Stables or take a jeep tour of the desert with Desert Adventures.
See Palm Springs from the air at Balloons above the Desert or take an introductory flight from The Flight School of Palm Springs. If you are able to stay in Palm Springs long enough you can even get your pilots license. With 365 day of perfect weather to fly, you can travel Southern California from your base in Palm Springs. Palm Spring also has a terrific air museum with an incredible collection of WWII aircraft.
Before you leave Palm Springs make sure you visit the Living Desert Zoo, it is truely a great way to understand the desert ecosystem and see all the desert wildlife and plants.
Palm Springs and the surrounding area will not disappoint you if you like playing tennis, horseback riding, bicycling, swimming or any other outdoor activity. Palm Springs is a relatively young city but visitors interested in historical sites will enjoy the historic Plaza Theatre which is the home of The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, a world-famous show and a must-see if visiting the city. Worth visiting is also the Palm Springs Air Museum, especially if you are interested in aviation history. There you can learn more about the World War II combat aircraft as well as to admire one of the largest collections of flying World War II airplanes in the world. It is located on the north side of the Palm Springs International Airport. If you like arts you will also like the Palm Springs Art Museum (previously known as Palm Springs Desert Museum) with an impressive collection of modern and contemporary paintings and sculpture from all over the world.
